FoodCloud is a not-for-profit social enterprise that connects retailers with surplus food with charities that need food, through our technology platform.
FoodCloud was established in 2012 to tackle the issues of food poverty and food waste.
Globally, 30% of all food produced is wasted, while 108 million people are malnourished.
In an Irish context, we waste 1 million tonnes of food every year, while 1 in 8 people suffer from food poverty.
FoodCloud helps tackle both of these issues through our two innovative solutions, our hubs and retail.
