Die Tafel Österreich - der Verein für sozialen Transfer

A bridge between affluence and need: Die Tafel Österreich collects surplus foodstuffs and sanitary products at their source, bringing them within just a few hours to where they are needed: to the several thousand disadvantaged people cared for in social facilities such as homeless shelters, refugee centers, or mother-child residences. Businesses with products too good to throw away simply have to call us. We take care of everything else (loading, transport, and delivery). This helps businesses by saving them disposal costs, freeing up storage space and demonstrating their commitment to the community.

We are an independent and non-denominational environmental and community aid association, Austrias oldest foodbank. A multi-professional team working on a voluntary basis guarantees unbureaucratic, direct aid. We put the principles of sustainability and resource conservation as well as those of economic ef-ficiency and social responsibility into practice. The result is a unique win-win-win situation for the economy, environment and the community.
